AlbaCombi Analogue to NMEA2000 Converter

The AlbaCombi is a converter of analogue signals to NMEA2000 which converts data from analogue engine gauges and senders to NMEA2000. It is designed for boats with up to two engines and up to 12 gauges. It is aimed at boat owners who want to be able to view their engine and tank data accurately on their multifunction screen (Garmin, Raymarine, B&G, Simrad, Lowrance).

The AlbaCombi Analogue to NMEA2000 Converter can be used to get engine data, tank levels, generic pressure, battery levels and temperature onto your NMEA2000 network.

A single unit can monitor up to 2 engines making it a cost-effective addition to your boat.

With the Alba-Combi you get twelve 0V to 32V inputs that can be used for anything from reading voltages of batteries to interfacing with any analog gauges. Six channels can be configured to measure resistance from any industry standard engine sensor. Also, there are two RPM inputs, one PTC temperature (positive temperature coefficient) input, one shunt (for current measurement) and two relay outputs.

AlbaCombi Analogue to NMEA2000 Converter setup overview

The AlbaCombi comes with a ethernet (computer port) that allows all configuration, testing and upgrades to be done via the web browser instead of having to purchase additional hardware and special software. The Alba-Combi has an embedded monitoring web server that will allow you to create a full monitoring display with analog or digital gauges to be displayed on PC, Mac, iOS or Android devices.

PLEASE NOTE: For RPM the Alba-Combi can handle a maximum input signal of 4000hz.  This equates to about 60 pulses per revolution at 4000 rpm, anything higher than that will not be compatible. For example, if the RPM sensor is reading the teeth of the flywheel and say we have 120 teeth and the max rpm is 4000 rpm, that will equate for 120 pulses-rpm * (4000rpm/60sec) = 8000 pulses-per-revolution or 8000hz, this will not be compatible with the Alba-Combi for RPM sensing.  If this is the case, as an alternative, you can often connect to the Ignition Coil of a petrol engine.  You can also connect to the W connection of the alternator as described in the Alba-Combi Manual.

This product is from Albatross Controls, not Yacht Devices. We provide this product to complement our engine gateways and allow us to provide a complete solution for customers to connect almost any engine to NMEA2000.

The Alba-Combi is fully NMEA2000 certified unlike a similar Chinese device available online. This means it has been certified to function as desired, not interfere with other NMEA2000 devices and has been rigorously tested to comply.

If you are looking to just monitor tank levels, you might like to consider our Tank Adaptor devices.

Please contact us prior to purchasing to check compatibility with your engine.
